This is madness.

Washington, D.C. – Outrage is growing across conservative America after an unelected Senate official derailed key parts of President Donald Trump’s landmark legislative package, stripping out critical reforms on illegal immigration, Medicaid, and federal spending.

Early Thursday, the Senate Parliamentarian ruled that several Republican-backed provisions could not proceed under budget reconciliation rules. The decision triggered a firestorm among House and Senate conservatives, who blasted the move as undemocratic and damaging to America’s future.

“Not Elected, Not Accountable” – Conservatives Slam Senate Ruling

Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., didn’t mince words:

“The Senate Parliamentarian is not elected. She holds no accountability to the American people—yet she has veto power over legislation supported by millions.”

Steube urged Vice President JD Vance to step in and override the Parliamentarian’s ruling, calling it a matter of restoring the power of the people and saving the country from unaccountable bureaucracy.

Illegals Win, Taxpayers Lose? Tuberville Sounds Alarm

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., expressed deep concern after the Parliamentarian allowed illegal immigrants to be eligible for federal student loans.

“Our student loan crisis is already out of control. ZERO taxpayer dollars should go to ILLEGALS. The Senate Parliamentarian should be FIRED ASAP,” Tuberville wrote on X.

Many Republicans say the decision rewards lawbreakers while hardworking Americans foot the bill.

Struck Down: Key Conservative Reforms Gutted

In a series of Thursday rulings, the Senate Parliamentarian removed critical measures from the bill, including:

  • ❌ A ban on Medicaid funding for illegal immigrants
  • ❌ Restrictions on gender-related procedures under federal programs
  • ❌ Reforms to Medicaid provider payment rates to reduce waste
  • ❌ Controls to stop abuse in the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)

These reforms were cornerstones of Trump’s cost-saving, pro-America agenda—and their removal sparked fury among fiscal conservatives.

Freedom Caucus Leaders Demand Accountability

Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., warned the decision would cost billions and undermine programs meant for vulnerable Americans.

“We fought hard for Medicaid reforms to protect taxpayers and ensure care for those who truly need it,” Burlison told Fox News Digital.

Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., emphasized that Congress—not unelected staff—should make budget decisions.

“Voters didn’t elect a staffer. They elected us. It’s time to act like it.”

Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, added:

“The rogue Senate Parliamentarian must be overruled—just like activist judges who defy the Constitution.”

Republicans at a Crossroads – Will Senate Leaders Act?

Despite the pressure, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., said he does not intend to overrule the Parliamentarian. Still, he acknowledged that some provisions may be saved through negotiation.

“We may not get everything, but we can get meaningful reforms—cut waste, save taxpayer money, and fix broken programs,” Thune told reporters.

Meanwhile, Senate Democrats continue to weaponize the “Byrd Bath” process, gutting conservative wins line by line under the guise of budget rule enforcement.

Where Do We Go From Here?

With Independence Day approaching, conservatives are warning that President Trump’s pro-taxpayer, pro-sovereignty bill may be stalled indefinitely—unless Vice President JD Vance and Senate Republicans choose to take bold action.

Millions of patriotic Americans are watching closely, asking: Will elected leaders restore the people’s voice—or surrender to unelected gatekeepers?
