Biden’s Autopen Under Question Again
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Republican Senator Katie Britt is turning up the heat on the Biden administration, asking the question millions of Americans are now wondering: Who was truly making decisions in the White House during President Joe Biden’s mental decline?
Appearing on Newsmax Wednesday, Sen. Britt (R-AL) blasted the lack of transparency, calling Biden the “autopen-in-chief” and demanding an investigation into who was behind the critical executive decisions made during key national crises.
Biden’s Cognitive Decline: Who Was Really in Charge?
The Senate Judiciary Committee held a pivotal hearing titled “Unfit to Serve: How the Biden Cover-Up Endangered America and Undermined the Constitution.” The hearing came just weeks after President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for an investigation into the use of the autopen—suggesting Biden’s aides may have been quietly signing documents on his behalf.
“There’s no doubt Biden was cognitively impaired,” Britt said on American Agenda. “So the real question is: who was making these massive decisions?”
From the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, to the ongoing border crisis, to the deadly fentanyl epidemic devastating American communities—Britt says the signs were clear that someone else was calling the shots.
Biden’s Border Disaster, Fentanyl Deaths, and More
Sen. Britt outlined a long list of national failures:
- Millions of illegal border crossings
- Over 100,000 unaccompanied minors released into the interior
- Fentanyl overdoses spiking in every U.S. state
- A chaotic and deadly exit from Afghanistan
“The American people paid the price,” she said. “And we still don’t know who was really in charge.”
House Oversight Targets Biden’s Inner Circle
Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, is pursuing answers. He recently sent letters to Biden’s physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor and key former White House aides including Neera Tanden and Anthony Bernal, demanding they testify under oath about the president’s true condition and decision-making process.
Democrats Walk Out, Refuse Accountability
Only two Democrats even showed up for the hearing—Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT). Durbin walked out, calling the inquiry a distraction. Sen. Britt slammed the no-shows:
“This tells the American people everything they need to know,” she said. “They don’t want the truth.”
What About the 25th Amendment?
Britt also condemned Vice President Kamala Harris and Biden’s Cabinet for ignoring Section 4 of the 25th Amendment, which provides a process to remove an unfit president.
“Why didn’t they act? Were they complicit?” Britt asked. “Or did they knowingly help hide the president’s decline?”
As a former senior staffer herself, Britt called for accountability from high-level officials who took an oath to serve the Constitution—but allegedly stayed silent or covered up the president’s inability to perform.
“This Must Never Happen Again”
“This has been a disaster for America,” Britt said. “We need answers, we need accountability, and we need to make sure this never happens again.”
She concluded with a powerful warning:
“Democrats want to talk about ‘defending democracy’—but democracy begins with truth. And the truth is, Joe Biden wasn’t leading. The American people deserve to know who was.”
