Democrat Mayor Trashes Trump
Trump Acts Amid Chaos as California Leaders Push Back Against Military Support
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) is pushing back against President Donald Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard to restore order in Los Angeles, following days of unrest tied to the growing illegal immigration crisis.
“We don’t want them here. They don’t need to be here,” Bass said Sunday during an interview on CNN’s State of the Union, claiming local law enforcement has the situation under control. But many Americans—especially those watching the chaos unfold—aren’t convinced.
Federal Appeals Court Backs Trump: National Guard Stays in L.A.
President Trump’s move received a boost late Thursday when a federal appeals court overturned an earlier ruling by a liberal judge that attempted to block the National Guard deployment. The decision allows federal troops to remain in Los Angeles, helping immigration authorities conduct vital enforcement operations.
The ruling came just hours after U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer—appointed during a previous Democratic administration—tried to order Trump to return control of the troops to California Governor Gavin Newsom (D).
Newsom and Bass Defy Trump’s Efforts to Protect American Communities
Governor Newsom, who has long clashed with the Trump administration over border security, escalated tensions further by accusing the president of dishonesty. On The New York Times’ podcast The Daily, Newsom launched into a personal attack, declaring, “He lied. He lied… Stone cold liar,” while claiming Trump never mentioned troop deployments during a prior phone call.
However, President Trump fired back, standing firm in his decision: “We will not allow our cities to fall into lawlessness,” he said. “The National Guard is there to support immigration enforcement and keep Americans safe.”
Law and Order vs. Liberal Chaos: A Clash of Priorities
Trump’s critics in California continue to resist federal efforts to enforce immigration law—even as cities like Los Angeles face growing unrest tied to sanctuary policies. The president’s supporters argue he is taking decisive action where state leaders have failed, putting the safety of American families first.
For many conservatives, the contrast couldn’t be clearer: President Trump is upholding the rule of law, while California Democrats are playing politics with public safety.
