In a rare moment of honesty from the Left, tennis icon Martina Navratilova—who has never hidden her disdain for President Donald Trump—has taken a surprising stand against the radical gender agenda and in favor of protecting girls and women in sports.
As Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles launched a personal attack on former NCAA swimmer and outspoken women’s advocate Riley Gaines, Navratilova came to Gaines’ defense—even while admitting they disagree politically.
“Riley supports MAGA, and while I strongly disagree with her politically, we are completely aligned when it comes to ensuring girls’ and women’s sports remain safe and fair. That’s a view shared by people across the political spectrum.”
Navratilova, long aligned with liberal causes, is now drawing a clear line in the sand—stating that biological males should not be allowed to compete in women’s and girls’ sports.
And she’s calling out her fellow Democrats for cowardice.
She expressed deep frustration with her own party, saying it was shameful that Democrats abandoned women and girls on an issue that should have been crystal clear—protecting female sports.
In another post, she slammed Democrat lawmakers for abandoning female athletes after the House passed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act—a Republican-led bill that received support from only two Democrats.
She urged more Democrats to take a stand, noting that while many privately agree, they remain silent out of fear for their political careers. Her message was blunt: do what’s right and show some backbone.
Despite relentless attacks on conservatives like Gaines, and even from liberal celebrities like Biles, the fight to protect female sports is gaining ground—and it’s no longer just a “right-wing” issue. Even leftists like Navratilova are waking up to the truth: biology matters, and girls deserve a fair playing field.
