Is Trump Making Memorial Day Great?

Red State Brings God Back To School

In a major win for traditional values, the Texas House has passed a new bill requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom. The measure passed by a vote of 82-46, reflecting growing momentum to restore Christian heritage in public education.

According to the legislation, each classroom must portray a framed copy of the Ten Commandments, measuring at least 16 inches wide by 20 inches tall. The law applies to every public school across Texas, with no exemptions.

A Return to America’s Founding Principles

State Representative Candy Noble (R), who sponsored the bill, said the Ten Commandments are not just religious teachings, but the moral backbone of American law and education.

“Nothing is more deeply rooted in our nation’s tradition than the Ten Commandments,” Noble said. “The way we treat one another in society—respect, honesty, justice—comes directly from these principles.”

Noble noted that the Ten Commandments have been cited favorably in over 500 court rulings, further reinforcing their legal and cultural significance.

Defending Faith in the Classroom

Supporters of the bill argue that it’s time to bring moral clarity and faith-based principles back into schools, especially at a time when many feel public education is drifting away from America’s founding values.

Opponents, mainly on the left, claim the bill violates the so-called separation of church and state. Attempts by Democrat lawmakers to insert displays from other faiths into the legislation were rejected.

What’s Next?

The bill now heads to the Texas Senate, where it is expected to pass. After that, it will go to Governor Greg Abbott, a longtime supporter of conservative education reforms, for final approval.

A Victory for Parents and Patriots

This legislation is more than symbolic—it’s a clear signal that Texas is taking a stand for faith, family, and freedom. At a time when many parents are demanding a return to moral instruction in schools, this move by lawmakers aligns with the values of millions of Americans who believe the Ten Commandments belong in the classroom.

Stay tuned as Texas leads the way in restoring God, country, and common sense to our children’s education.
