Hogg Praises Firebrand Rep. Jasmine Crockett for Anti-Republican Rhetoric
David Hogg, Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, made headlines Friday by throwing his full support behind Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a far-left freshman known for her brash tone and combative politics.
Appearing on “The Breakfast Club,” a progressive radio show, Hogg applauded Crockett’s aggressive stance and disregard for bipartisanship. “She doesn’t care what Republicans think,” he said, calling her “authentic” and “exactly what the Democrat Party needs right now.”
For many, this signals a growing shift away from traditional liberalism toward hardline progressive activism.
Younger Radicals Threaten to Purge Older Democrats
But Hogg didn’t stop there. In what many see as an internal coup, he announced plans to help primary at least a dozen sitting Democrat lawmakers—many of them older, established incumbents.
“I’ve had members of Congress thank me privately,” he claimed, “even those who’ve been around a while. But they won’t say it publicly—they’re afraid.”
DNC Chair Ken Martin has issued a warning to Hogg and others: stop the infighting, or risk tearing the party apart. Yet Hogg remains defiant. “I don’t care,” he said. “This needs to happen.”
