Democrats Attacks Trump, Musk’s Relationship

Progressive Push Continues Despite Musk’s Focus on Business

Elon Musk may be stepping away from Washington, but that hasn’t stopped the radical left from targeting him. Rep. Greg Casar (D-Texas), a self-described progressive, is calling on Democrats to keep up the pressure and demand Musk be removed from any government influence.

“We have to keep up the pressure until we actually fire Elon Musk,” Casar wrote on social media platform X, warning Democrats not to let up—even as Musk shifts gears.

Musk Still in the Crosshairs After Cutting Government Waste

Casar’s comments follow reports that Musk visited Capitol Hill to meet with Republican lawmakers on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The discussions reportedly focused on energy independence and artificial intelligence—two vital issues for America’s future.

Elon Musk became a controversial figure in D.C. after being appointed by President Trump to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Under his leadership, the department launched bold initiatives to slash wasteful federal spending and downsize bloated government agencies. Many of those reforms remain stalled in court, blocked by entrenched bureaucrats and liberal special interests.

Musk Steps Back—But Not Out

With his government assignment expiring May 30, Musk announced he’ll be dialing back his involvement in federal affairs to focus on Tesla, SpaceX, and his other private ventures.

“I’ll still show up at the White House a few days every few weeks,” Musk told CNBC. “But I need to focus where I can be most effective.”

This shift comes after relentless backlash from the left, with activists attacking Musk’s companies simply because of his efforts to shrink the federal leviathan.

Musk Also Pulling Back Political Donations—For Now

At the Qatar Economic Forum, Musk said he plans to reduce his political donations going forward—after contributing over $250 million to help reelect President Trump and support other conservative candidates in 2024.

“In terms of political spending, I’m going to do a lot less in the future,” Musk stated. “I do not currently see a reason.”

Still, he left the door open, saying he’s ready to get involved again “if needed.”

Why This Matters to Conservative Americans

Elon Musk is a rare figure in business and tech who isn’t afraid to challenge the D.C. swamp. His work to rein in government overreach and promote innovation has made him a hero to many older, conservative Americans who are tired of reckless spending and partisan attacks.

The fact that Democrats are still going after him—even as he steps back—should tell you everything you need to know.
