Liberals can cry all they want America FIRST!

Washington, D.C. – In a bold move to put America First and reclaim national identity, the House of Representatives passed legislation Thursday morning to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America,” honoring one of President Donald Trump’s most patriotic executive orders.

The final vote was 211-206, with every Democrat opposing the bill. Only one Republican, Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE), sided with the opposition.

The bill was introduced by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), a staunch Trump ally, who called the name change a “powerful reminder of American sovereignty.”

“This is about national pride,” Greene said. “These waters belong to the United States. They are protected by American heroes in uniform, and they support American jobs. The American people deserve to see that reflected in the name.”

Democrats Fume While Americans Cheer

While conservatives hailed the move as a patriotic step forward, Democrat leaders erupted in outrage.

Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) dismissed the bill as “a waste of time,” complaining that Republicans were focused on maps instead of social programs.

“What a sick joke,” Hoyer snapped. “Republicans care about 400-year-old names. I care about struggling families.”

But many Americans disagree. Online forums and conservative radio callers applauded the bill as a long-overdue stand against globalist erosion of U.S. identity.

Backlash From RINOs? Greene Hits Back Hard

Some moderate Republicans expressed hesitation, suggesting the bill was symbolic. Rep. Don Bacon called it “sophomoric,” and others grumbled that it distracted from “more serious legislation.”

But Greene didn’t back down.

“Some Republicans say it’s not serious?” she posted on X. “Then let’s vote on my bill to criminalize sex changes for minors. Let’s see who’s serious now.”

What’s Next for the Gulf of America Act?

The legislation now heads to the U.S. Senate, where it faces an uphill battle. A 60-vote threshold is required, meaning at least some Democrat senators will need to support the measure for it to reach President Trump’s desk.

Still, the momentum is growing. Grassroots conservatives are energized, and many see this as more than a name change—it’s a cultural turning point.

Why This Matters to America-First Patriots

This bill isn’t just about geography. It’s about restoring American pride, defending our borders—land and sea—and sending a message that America will no longer bow to globalist narratives.

Under President Trump’s renewed leadership, Congress is once again standing up for tradition, sovereignty, and the forgotten men and women of this country.
