Is Trump 'Unlawfully and Inappropriately Targeting' Immigrants?

Putin Issues Scary Threat

Russian President Vladimir Putin has admitted that while nuclear weapons haven’t been necessary so far in the Ukraine war, the option is still very much on the table. In a state-sponsored documentary highlighting his 25 years in power, Putin asserted that Russia is fully capable of achieving its military goals in Ukraine — with or without nuclear force.

“There has been no need to use those [nuclear] weapons… and I hope that need will not arise,” Putin said, while emphasizing that Russia has “enough strength and means to bring what was started in 2022 to a logical conclusion.”

This latest statement follows Putin’s controversial move in November 2024 to revise Russia’s nuclear doctrine, lowering the threshold for atomic deployment — even in response to conventional attacks supported by nuclear powers like the United States.

As Biden’s foreign policy continues to fall short, and with NATO’s credibility strained, many Americans are asking: How far will Putin push while the West dithers?

Putin Doubles Down While Denying 2014 Was an Invasion

Putin also claimed Russia had no intent to launch a full-scale war back in 2014, when Crimea was annexed, stating it was “practically unrealistic” at the time due to lack of readiness for a direct standoff with Western powers.

“The country wasn’t ready for such a confrontation with the entire collective West,” he said, while insisting that Moscow had “sincerely sought peaceful solutions” in Donbas.

Putin’s comments are being seen by many as a calculated mix of threat and propaganda — designed to prepare Russians for a prolonged conflict while downplaying the reality of his aggression.

Zelenskyy Slams Moscow’s ‘Ceasefire Show’ and Calls for Real Peace

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pushed back hard on Russia’s proposed 72-hour “Victory Day” ceasefire, calling it a disingenuous PR stunt as the Kremlin continues to bombard cities.

“Putin wants his tanks in a parade, not peace on the battlefield,” Zelenskyy said during a joint press conference with Czech President Petr Pavel. “He should think about ending his war.”

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine had supported a U.S.-backed 30-day ceasefire, which Russia ignored for over 50 days. He pointed to Moscow’s continued attacks even during religious holidays, such as Easter, when Russia launched over 100 strikes during a supposed unilateral ceasefire.

Ukraine Pleads for Weapons as Russia Intensifies Airstrikes

As Putin postures and peace talks stall, Russian drone strikes battered Kyiv overnight, wounding 11 civilians, including two children. Elderly residents described windows shattering and high-rise apartments catching fire.

“The house shook. It was terrifying,” said 83-year-old Valentyna Fesiuk, a Kyiv resident.
“They can’t agree on anything. We’re the ones who suffer,” said another local, 54-year-old Viacheslav Khotab.

Ukraine’s air force reported intercepting 69 of 165 drones. Two ballistic missiles were also launched. Russian officials claimed to have shot down 13 Ukrainian drones in return.

Elsewhere, two civilians were killed in strikes in the Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions.

F-16 Training Coalition Expands, But Not On Ukrainian Soil

Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine is working with allies to expand its aviation training program — especially F-16 pilot education — but confirmed these bases cannot be located in Ukraine due to the ongoing Russian attacks.

Czech-led NATO efforts have already provided 1.5 million artillery shells to Ukraine, with another 1.8 million expected in 2025, bolstering Kyiv’s defensive posture.

Where Is American Leadership?

As President Trump continues to prioritize American strength, peace through power, and reasserting U.S. influence abroad, many Americans are questioning why the Biden administration has failed to bring Moscow to the table.

With Putin threatening nuclear escalation and civilians caught in the crossfire, it’s clear that weak leadership from the White House has only emboldened adversaries.
