Here’s Trump’s next major move.

In a major move to reshape America’s intelligence apparatus, President Donald Trump’s administration is taking bold action to downsize bloated federal agencies and refocus their mission on real national threats—like China and cyber warfare—rather than politically driven distractions.

Multiple sources confirm that staffing cuts are already underway at the CIA, NSA, and other key intelligence agencies. These cuts are part of a long-term plan to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies that have plagued the intelligence community for years.

According to officials familiar with the initiative, the CIA is expected to reduce its workforce by approximately 1,200 positions over several years. Hundreds have already opted for early retirement, and more reductions will be achieved through hiring freezes and voluntary exits—not mass layoffs, contrary to media fearmongering.

“These reforms are energizing the Agency and aligning it with the president’s America First strategy,” said the CIA in a statement. “We’re empowering new leaders, focusing on mission-critical threats, and cutting political bloat.”

Meanwhile, at the NSA, voluntary resignation programs are also in motion. The Trump administration has already removed the general in charge of both the NSA and Cyber Command, signaling a clear intention to tighten command structures and enhance cyber readiness.

Perhaps most notably, the administration has eliminated controversial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs from intelligence operations. These taxpayer-funded initiatives—often seen by critics as left-wing indoctrination—have no place in America’s core defense agencies. While a judge temporarily paused the dismissal of 19 DEI staffers, the message is clear: under President Trump, national security comes before woke ideology.

Trump’s Vision: More Human Intelligence, Less Bureaucracy

CIA Director John Ratcliffe is leading the effort to revitalize the Agency by boosting its use of human intelligence (HUMINT)—a classic espionage tactic that has been sidelined in favor of bloated tech surveillance. Ratcliffe also reaffirmed the administration’s priority to confront adversaries like China with renewed focus and agility.

These changes are seen by supporters as a long-overdue correction to years of bureaucratic expansion and partisan politicization inside America’s intelligence community. Under Trump’s leadership, the intelligence agencies are being returned to their true mission: defending the American people.
