41% Americans Afraid About Remainder of Trump Second Term, Are You?

Trump Totally Serious About What?

Shocking New Poll: Majority of Americans Say Trump May Run for a Third Term—and Eye Greenland, Canada

In a stunning new national survey, most Americans say they believe President Donald J. Trump is seriously considering a third term in office—and even exploring bold new moves involving Greenland and Canada.

According to a Washington Post/ABC News/Ipsos poll released this week, 62% of respondents said they believe Trump is serious about seeking a third term, despite the U.S. Constitution’s 22nd Amendment, which limits presidents to two terms.

While Democrats and independents were more likely to say they take Trump’s third-term comments seriously, even some Republicans expressed belief that Trump might push for another term if it serves the nation’s interests.

In a recent interview with The Atlantic, the president commented:

“Well, maybe I’m just trying to shatter… It’s not something that I’m looking to do. And I think it would be a very hard thing to do.”

Could Trump Challenge the Limits of the Constitution?

The idea of a third term isn’t the only bold move the 45th president is being linked to. 68% of Americans polled say Trump is serious about acquiring Greenland, the world’s largest island and a territory of Denmark rich in natural resources and strategic value.

Even 58% of Republicans said they believe the president genuinely wants the U.S. to take control of Greenland—a move that could strengthen America’s influence in the Arctic and beyond.

Greenland’s Prime Minister recently responded by saying the island “will never, ever be a piece of property that can be bought by just anyone.” But as global power shifts, Trump’s America First strategy may yet reshape the map.

Canada Next? 53% Say Trump’s Comments Are More Than Just Talk

The poll also revealed that over half of Americans—53%—believe President Trump is serious about integrating Canada more closely with the U.S.

Party breakdown:

  • 75% of Democrats say Trump means it.
  • 49% of independents agree.
  • 35% of Republicans believe it’s strategic talk.

This isn’t the first time Trump has floated aggressive realignment of global alliances. Under his leadership, the U.S. has regained control over borders, energy, trade, and diplomacy, and a move toward incorporating key territories could be the next logical step.

What This Means for America’s Future

President Trump has never shied away from shaking up the status quo. Whether it’s reclaiming American sovereignty, expanding strategic influence, or challenging outdated political norms, his leadership continues to stir strong opinions—and shape policy discussions at every level.

As 2024 approaches and political momentum builds, one question looms larger than ever:
