Here’s what is being said now.

In a revealing interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), 83, denied rumors that he and far-left Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) are forming a new political party — but made a stunning admission: the Democratic Party has no clear vision for America’s future.

Sanders acknowledged that while he opposes President Trump’s America First policies, simply playing defense is not enough to win over voters.

“No, we’re not working to launch a third party,” Sanders explained. “Our goal is to reinforce American democracy at a time when trust in both major parties is at an all-time low.”

Meanwhile, support for President Trump continues to surge among working Americans, seniors, and veterans — groups that have increasingly rejected radical socialist policies in favor of traditional American values.

Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, warned that younger generations are at risk of being “poorer than their parents”—a grim prediction that critics say stems directly from failed liberal economic policies.

Adding to the division within the Democratic Party, Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez have launched their controversial “Fighting Oligarchy Tour,” trying to push their socialist agenda even into Republican strongholds. But experts warn that voters are rejecting these extremist ideas in favor of rebuilding American strength.

In a sharp rebuke of his own party, Sanders blamed Democrats for “abandoning the working class,” a betrayal he said helped deliver a landslide victory to President Trump in the 2024 election.

Top Democrats, including Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.), have pleaded with progressives to tone down divisive rhetoric like “oligarchy,” fearing it alienates moderate voters. But Sanders dismissed those concerns, proudly citing record-breaking crowds at his rallies.

“We had 36,000 people in Los Angeles, 34,000 in Colorado, and 30,000 in rural Folsom, California,” Sanders said. “The American people aren’t as clueless as Ms. Slotkin thinks.”

At the same time, Sanders admitted he supports tariffs when targeted correctly—mirroring part of President Trump’s approach to protect American jobs from unfair foreign competition.

“I led the fight against NAFTA. I fought against China’s trade deals,” Sanders said. “Corporate elites wrote those deals. We need selective tariffs to protect American workers — not broad tariffs like Trump has used.”

President Trump, determined to restore American industry and defend U.S. sovereignty, has launched one of the strongest pro-American trade agendas in decades. His policies include:

  • A 10% tariff on nearly all foreign imports,
  • A 25% tariff on cars, steel, and aluminum,
  • Tough penalties against Canadian and Mexican imports violating the USMCA,
  • And a 125% tariff on Chinese goods — protecting American manufacturing jobs.

Economists warn that if Democrats regain power, America could see a return to globalist trade deals that devastated factories, farms, and small businesses across the heartland.

President Trump is currently preparing new customized trade deals to take effect by July 8, strengthening America’s independence from hostile foreign economies.

Voters are demanding leaders who will fight for the American worker, protect retirement savings, and stand up to China’s economic aggression. Will Democrats finally listen—or double down on the radical socialist agenda that cost them the 2024 election?
