Is Trump A Scary President?

Trump Doubles Down On Hegseth Defense

President Donald Trump made it clear: he’s not buying into the latest media firestorm surrounding Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One Friday, on his way to Rome for Pope Francis’ funeral, President Trump was asked about the so-called “Signal app scandal.”
He didn’t hesitate.

“I don’t see Signal as important,” Trump said, waving off the question. “This looks like more fake news. Not important at all.”

What’s Really Behind the “Signal” Controversy?

The attacks on Hegseth stem from claims made by The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg — a longtime critic of President Trump — who alleged that Hegseth discussed an airstrike targeting Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen over Signal, a private messaging app.

Hegseth also reportedly spoke to his wife, brother, and personal attorney about the operation using the app.
But according to Hegseth, there’s nothing shady about it.

“All communications were informal and completely unclassified,” Hegseth explained this week.
“This was simply media coordination and basic discussions. Nothing improper then, nothing improper now.”

Media Piling On – But Trump Isn’t Backing Down

The Associated Press tried to escalate the controversy Thursday, reporting that Hegseth accessed Signal on a personal computer that bypassed Pentagon security protocols.

Meanwhile, a liberal activist group, National Security Counselors, filed a federal lawsuit demanding access to Signal conversations from Hegseth, Marco Rubio, John Ratcliffe, Tulsi Gabbard, and Scott Bessent over the last three months.

Despite the noise, Trump’s support is rock-solid.

“The President stands firmly behind Secretary Hegseth,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated Tuesday. “The real results he’s delivering at the Pentagon speak for themselves.”

A President Who Stands By His Team

While the D.C. establishment and left-wing media aim to tear down good leaders, President Trump remains true to his America First principles.
He knows that strong leadership — not petty political games — is what America needs right now.

Stay tuned as Trump and his team continue to fight for real reform in Washington.
