Mexico Bans Top Trump Official

In a stunning move, Mexico’s government is now trying to censor President Donald Trump’s powerful new border security campaign.

Mexican officials have ordered TV and radio broadcasters to block the Trump administration’s new ads featuring Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem — calling the effort to stop illegal immigration “propaganda.”

After her confirmation by the Senate, Secretary Noem launched a bold $200 million campaign to send a clear warning to illegal immigrants: Under President Trump, we will find you, we will deport you, and you will not return.

The ads, which will run for two years across radio, television, and digital platforms, target both those already inside the United States illegally and those thinking about crossing the border. Commercials have already aired in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.

In the ad, Noem thanks President Trump for standing up for American families, saying, “If you are here illegally, you will be removed. But if you leave voluntarily, you may have a chance to legally live the American Dream.”

According to The Washington Post, Mexico’s far-left President Claudia Sheinbaum announced she is preparing new laws to block the ads, claiming they are “discriminatory” and violate “diversity and inclusion.”

Sheinbaum insisted that Mexico’s “sovereignty must be respected” — even as thousands continue to pour across the U.S. border every day.

Critics note the difference in approach. Under Joe Biden, the 2022 immigration campaign was weak, with soft messaging that failed to deter illegal crossings. No cabinet officials appeared, and Biden barely mentioned the issue publicly.

Former Obama-era ICE official Kate Mills even admitted the Trump campaign is far tougher — and credits President Trump directly for standing firm.

Martha Bárcena, a former Mexican ambassador to the U.S., noted that while Sheinbaum has largely gone along with Trump’s demands, her government still tries to appear “independent” for political reasons.
