Senator Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, is sounding the alarm, warning that Russian President Vladimir Putin is exploiting America’s current weakness.
“I’ve seen enough innocent Ukrainian women and children killed,” Grassley posted on X. “President Trump, please put the toughest sanctions on Putin. The evidence is clear — he’s playing America like a patsy.”
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump, leading with strength from the White House, called on Russia and Ukraine to move swiftly toward a peace deal.
“They are very close to an agreement,” Trump shared on Truth Social. “Now is the time for very high-level talks to finish it off. Most major points are already agreed to. End the bloodshed — now. We will be wherever needed to help secure peace!”
Despite President Trump’s determined efforts, true progress remains a challenge.
On Friday, Russia launched new attacks, including a deadly drone strike on a Ukrainian apartment building that claimed three lives. The violence underscores the urgent need for strong American leadership.
