Democrats Come To Kamala’s Defense
Democrats in Crisis Mode as Trump’s Comeback Shakes Up 2024 Election Fallout
A major shakeup is brewing inside the Democratic Party—and this time, it’s coming from within. Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), one of the party’s most senior figures, is now openly admitting that former Vice President Kamala Harris was “ill-served” by her campaign team during her failed run against President Donald Trump.
Clyburn’s remarks, delivered during an interview on CNN’s NewsCentral, suggest deep divisions and poor leadership within the Democrat ranks. While he praised Harris as a “tremendous talent,” he didn’t hold back when hinting that her team ignored seasoned political advice. “She was ill-served by people who should have listened,” he said bluntly.
Harris, who was handpicked by former President Joe Biden to take over the race before abruptly losing to Trump, is now rumored to be eyeing a 2026 run for governor in California—a state currently plagued by rising crime, illegal immigration, and failed progressive policies. Despite polls showing her as a frontrunner among Democrats, Harris has yet to confirm a run. At a recent summit, she declared: “I’m not going anywhere.”
During that same event, she made thinly veiled jabs at President Trump’s leadership without naming him directly. “There were many things that we knew would happen… I’m not here to say, ‘I told you so,’” she said—drawing criticism for once again avoiding accountability.
Rep. Clyburn had previously supported Biden staying in the race, even after the now-infamous debate where Trump handily dominated. Once Biden bowed out and endorsed Harris, internal fractures within the party grew even more visible. Clyburn pushed for a “mini-primary” rather than a direct handoff to Harris, a sign of just how little consensus remained in Democrat circles.
Democrats Losing Ground — Fast
Since President Trump’s triumphant return to the Oval Office, Democrats have suffered staggering political losses. Polls show party approval ratings at historic lows, with disillusioned voters citing failed leadership, weak economic policies, and a sharp decline in public safety across blue states.
While Trump focuses on restoring law and order, rebuilding the economy, and putting America First, the Democrat Party seems unable—or unwilling—to learn from its mistakes.
