And just like that the Democrat fear mongering begins.

President Trump Teases Third Term, Liberals Panic as Constitution Gets Quoted

The media can’t help themselves—President Trump mentions a third term, and suddenly it’s the end of democracy… again.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki”, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) lit into President Trump for what most Americans saw as a clear joke. Goldman, however, took it deadly serious, accusing the president of wanting to become a dictator like Vladimir Putin.

“He’s not imagining a democratic election,” Goldman claimed. “He’s trying to be Putin.”

Goldman, who made his name as a prosecutor in the first Trump impeachment, went further, saying Trump’s ideal is a “bogus election” like Russia’s. He insisted the President isn’t joking—despite many signs pointing to the opposite.

Trump’s Third Term Talk: Joke or Genius Media Trap?

The truth? President Trump has teased the idea of a third term multiple times—usually with a wink and a grin. And every time, the media and far-left Democrats fall for it. Hard.

In a weekend interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker, Trump said he was “not joking” about a potential third term and hinted there were “methods” to make it happen. Naturally, critics pounced.

But let’s not forget the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution clearly states that no president can be elected more than twice. Which raises the question: Is Trump trolling his critics? Or is he exposing just how easily the media can be baited?

Rep. Andy Ogles Proposes Amendment—Cue the Outrage

Enter Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN), who recently proposed a Constitutional amendment to allow a third term. His draft legislation reads:

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times…”

While few expect the proposal to gain traction, it’s sparked major buzz online and in conservative circles.

Goldman, meanwhile, claimed this is how Trump “normalizes” ideas. “He did it with self-pardons back in 2018,” Goldman said. “Now he’s doing it again.”
According to the Democrat, it’s all part of Trump’s alleged plan to “undermine our democracy.”

Republicans Respond: ‘It’s Called the Constitution’

Fortunately, some cooler heads in Congress are calling out the manufactured hysteria.

Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) shrugged it off:

“We’ve got this little problem that’s probably going to prevent that from happening. It’s called the Constitution.”

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) agreed, adding that Trump has a “great sense of humor” and knows exactly how to get under the media’s skin.

The Bottom Line: Another Manufactured Crisis?

Once again, the left is sounding the alarm over President Trump’s words while ignoring the bigger picture: a thriving economy, stronger borders, and America regaining respect on the world stage under his leadership.

The Trump 2025 movement is gaining steam—and that’s exactly why Democrats and the media are panicking. Whether or not a third term ever becomes more than a headline, one thing’s for sure:

President Trump knows how to drive the narrative—and his opponents are playing right into his hands.
