Is it really happening?!?
President Donald Trump is once again shaking up the political world—this time by suggesting he may seek a third term in the White House.
In a Sunday phone interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker, the President was asked about past comments joking about a third term. But this time, he wasn’t laughing.
“No, no, I’m not joking,” Trump said, leaving no room for doubt.
“The People Want Me to Keep Going”
Trump, who remains the dominant force in the Republican Party, pointed to his massive polling numbers as proof that Americans are ready for more leadership from the 45th President.
“We’re in the high 70s in many real polls,” he explained. “More than any Republican in the last 100 years.”
“People come up to me and say, ‘Sir, please don’t stop. Keep fighting for us.’”
Could a Third Term Happen? Trump Says Yes
While the Constitution limits presidents to two terms, Trump suggested there are ways a third term could be achieved—legally.
When asked how he could make it happen, he responded, “There are methods… as you know.”
Welker floated the idea of Vice President J.D. Vance winning the presidency and handing over power—Trump agreed it was “one” option, but hinted there are “others too,” though he declined to elaborate.
Trump Still Loves the Job: “It’s About Saving America”
Despite the pressures of the presidency, Trump made it clear he’s not ready to walk away from the job.
“I enjoy working. It’s about saving our country from what Biden and the radical left have done.”
When asked if he’d be willing to pass the baton to VP Vance, Trump replied: “It’s too early to even think about that.”
White House Responds: “Trump’s Focused on Undoing Biden’s Damage”
In a statement to The Hill, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung reinforced Trump’s unwavering support:
“Americans overwhelmingly support President Trump and his America First policies. He is focused on reversing the damage caused by Joe Biden and Making America Great Again.”
Why This Matters for Patriotic Americans
This is yet another reminder that President Trump is not backing down. As the 2024 election approaches, the idea of a Trump third term—once unthinkable—is gaining real momentum.
Whether through legal reforms or strategic leadership, Donald Trump continues to fight for conservative values, secure borders, strong families, and American energy independence.
