Hegseth Breaks Silence After Security Breach
In breaking national security news, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth strongly denied left-wing media claims that Trump-era officials were irresponsibly sharing war plans via text messages.
Hegseth Responds: “Nobody Was Texting War Plans”
Speaking to reporters Monday in Hawaii, Hegseth addressed the controversial Atlantic article that accused former Trump officials of using a Signal chat to discuss military operations targeting Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.
“Nobody was texting war plans, and that’s all I have to say about that,” Hegseth stated, standing beside a military aircraft.
The Atlantic’s Goldberg Called Out for Pushing ‘Fake News’
Hegseth didn’t mince words when it came to The Atlantic’s Editor-in-Chief, Jeffrey Goldberg.
He blasted the liberal journalist as a “deceitful and highly discredited, so-called journalist who’s made a profession of peddling hoaxes time and time again.”
Goldberg claimed he gained access to a private Signal group chat between top Trump administration figures, including Hegseth and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, where military strategies were allegedly discussed.
Was It a Leak or Just Another Liberal Hit Job?
Interestingly, even Goldberg himself doubted the chat’s authenticity at first—saying he couldn’t believe national security leaders would ever use Signal to discuss sensitive operations.
Despite that, the Biden administration confirmed the chat’s existence.
Brian Hughes, spokesperson for the National Security Council, said:
“This appears to be an authentic message chain, and we are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain.”
Hughes emphasized the messages reflected “deep and thoughtful policy coordination” and reassured the public that “there were no threats to troops or national security.”
Democrats Seize Opportunity to Attack Hegseth
Never missing a chance to politicize a national security issue, Democrats quickly pounced.
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA), a Marine veteran, took to social media to say:
“There’s absolutely no scenario where sensitive military details should be passed through unsecured channels. Hegseth is completely out of his depth and poses a serious risk to both our country and the brave men and women serving in uniform.”
Conservative Leaders Push Back: “Another Media Smear Job”
Conservative commentators are calling this yet another manufactured scandal aimed at discrediting Trump-era military leadership.
“It’s the same playbook every time: plant a misleading story, amplify it through liberal media outlets, and use it to go after strong America-first voices,” said one former intelligence official.
Many Americans are questioning why mainstream media outlets continue to target conservatives, even when national security is at stake.
📰 Key Takeaways:
- Pete Hegseth denies sharing any war plans via Signal.
- The Atlantic accused of unethical reporting practices.
- The chat’s authenticity confirmed, but no threat to national security.
- Democrats quickly attack, raising political stakes.
- Conservatives call out another biased media hit piece.
We are supposed to take the word of a lying Commiecrap concerning ANYTHING about Trump? Yeah, right!
