Fox News Calls Out Supreme Court

Trump Defends Tough Immigration Stance Amid Judicial Pushback

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld did not mince words in his response to U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts, who recently criticized President Donald Trump for calling to impeach a federal judge. The judge had ruled against the Trump administration’s efforts to crack down on illegal immigration, reigniting a heated debate on judicial overreach.

Roberts, in a rare public statement, claimed that impeachment is not an appropriate response to judicial decisions, adding that the appellate process exists to challenge rulings.

But Gutfeld, one of Fox News’s top-rated hosts and a strong supporter of law and order policies, fired back at Roberts for interfering in what he sees as a critical national security issue.

Gutfeld Calls Out Roberts: ‘Trump is Protecting 300 Million Americans’

“When our borders are being overrun by criminals and violent offenders, a judge in D.C. has the luxury of sitting back and reading legal textbooks. President Trump doesn’t have that luxury—his job is to protect the American people,” Gutfeld said on The Five Tuesday night.

“He is a leader who has to act. He doesn’t have time for bureaucratic delays,” Gutfeld continued, reinforcing the idea that strong leadership is necessary to secure the nation.

Judicial Interference in Deportations?

The heated exchange comes after Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport suspected members of the Tren de Aragua gang—a violent criminal organization known for drug trafficking, kidnappings, and brutal attacks. The administration argued that it had the legal authority to remove these individuals to El Salvador, but U.S. District Judge James Boasberg intervened, ordering the deportation flights to be halted and turned around.

However, administration officials pushed back, stating that the flights had already left U.S. airspace, making the judge’s ruling moot and unenforceable.

Trump: ‘I Will Not Defy the Courts’

In an exclusive interview with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, Trump responded to criticism over his handling of the situation, making it clear that he had not defied any court orders and would continue to work within the legal system.

At the heart of the debate is a fundamental question: Should judges be allowed to override a president’s authority to protect Americans from dangerous criminals?

Americans Support Tougher Border Policies

With crime and illegal immigration continuing to be major concerns for voters, many conservatives are standing by Trump’s bold approach to border security. Recent polls show that a growing number of Americans support stronger immigration enforcement, particularly in light of rising violent crime rates linked to illegal crossings.

As the 2024 election season heats up, the fight over America’s borders is shaping up to be one of the most defining issues of our time.
