Republican Says Democrats Pushing Fear

Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Mich., recently appeared on Newsmax, offering a pointed critique of the Democratic Party’s tactics in the House. According to Bergman, Democrats are actively trying to foster a culture of fear to manipulate public opinion and push their own political agenda. This, he argues, is their primary strategy, rather than presenting any solid plans for the future.

Bergman’s comments come after the House passed a budget resolution backed by former President Donald Trump along party lines. Following the vote, Democrats have been quick to claim that Republicans are planning massive cuts to Medicaid in order to meet their financial objectives. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., even warned that millions of children could lose their health insurance under GOP policies. But for Bergman, these claims are nothing more than fearmongering.

“Democrats are trying to create an environment of fear where people vote for them not because of their policies but because they’re terrified of what might happen,” said Bergman. “They have no real solutions, just scare tactics to make people afraid and push them into supporting their cause. On our side, we are focused on redirecting funds to the programs and families who need them the most, not playing on people’s fears.”

Bergman, a member of the House Budget Committee, emphasized that true leadership is about presenting solutions, not using fear to sway voters. “If you lead by fear, it shows a lack of real leadership. We have a strong plan on our side, and we’re presenting it openly. Meanwhile, the Democrats are struggling because they have no fiscal plan, just a strategy of fear and misinformation.”

In closing, Bergman underscored that the Democratic Party’s focus on fear tactics is a sign of their desperation, especially as they face the prospect of losing more elections due to their lack of a coherent plan.
