Should All States Review Citizenship Proof of Voters Before Midterm Elections?

Trump Facing Birthday Protest

A left-wing activist coalition known as the “No Kings” movement is preparing a major nationwide protest campaign scheduled for June 14 — the same day as President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.

The demonstrations are expected to take place across multiple cities as progressive organizers continue ramping up opposition efforts against the Trump administration ahead of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

According to the group’s website, activists claim the country faces a choice between what they call “strongman politics” and a movement centered on activism and grassroots organizing.

“The next 250 starts with us,” the organization states online. “We can let strongman politics and corruption define the moment — or we can build a future rooted in people’s power.”

The event is being heavily promoted by progressive activists, Hollywood figures, and anti-Trump organizations nationwide.

Hollywood Celebrities and Liberal Media Figures Join Planned Event

One of the most high-profile gatherings connected to the movement will be a celebrity-filled concert in New York City titled Rise Up, Sing Out.

The 90-minute event is scheduled to take place at The Town Hall in Midtown Manhattan and will reportedly feature appearances from several well-known liberal entertainers and political activists.

Among those expected to appear are Bette Midler, Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Rufus Wainwright, Sasha Allen, and former MSNBC host Joy Reid.

The concert is being sponsored by the Committee for the First Amendment, a Hollywood-based activist organization relaunched by Fonda in late 2025.

Organizers have also announced at least 18 separate watch parties across 11 states as part of the broader nationwide campaign.

On its website, the movement describes the event as an effort to redefine patriotism around activism and political resistance rather than “power” or “pageantry.”

Anti-Trump Demonstrations Have Continued Since President Trump Returned to Office

The upcoming June event is not the first protest effort organized by the “No Kings” movement.

The group previously held demonstrations on June 14, 2025, during President Trump’s 79th birthday celebration and the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade in Washington, D.C.

Additional anti-Trump protests followed in October 2025 and March 2026.

Progressive activist organizations including 50501 and Indivisible have reportedly helped organize and coordinate the demonstrations alongside other left-leaning activist groups around the country.

President Trump Previously Responded to “King” Accusations

President Trump has previously pushed back against claims made by protesters comparing him to a monarch.

During an appearance on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Trump directly addressed the criticism.

“They’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” Trump said.

The comment quickly gained attention online as supporters defended the president against accusations from progressive activists and media figures.

UFC Event at White House Could Draw Major Attention the Same Day

While anti-Trump protests are expected in several cities, another major event planned for June 14 could dominate headlines.

The UFC is reportedly preparing to hold fights on the South Lawn of the White House, creating what could become one of the most talked-about events of the summer.

Construction crews have already begun building a temporary octagon on White House grounds ahead of the event.

The contrast between patriotic celebrations at the White House and coordinated anti-Trump protests nationwide is likely to fuel even more political debate in the days ahead.

Growing Political Divide Ahead of America’s 250th Anniversary

The latest demonstrations highlight the deep political divide that continues to shape the country as America approaches its 250th anniversary.

Supporters of President Trump argue that many of these activist movements are driven by establishment political interests and celebrity influence, while critics claim they are standing up against what they view as expanding executive power.

With massive public events, celebrity activism, and White House celebrations all happening on the same day, June 14 is shaping up to become a major political flashpoint in 2026.
