Former First Lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to address the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago on Tuesday evening, as confirmed by a source with the Washington Examiner. Michelle Obama, a prominent figure within the Democratic Party, will speak on the second night of the convention, the same evening her husband, former President Barack Obama, will also take the stage.

Since 2008, Michelle Obama has been a recurring speaker at the DNC, beginning with her husband’s initial presidential nomination. This year, the Obamas will appear in support of Vice President Kamala Harris, who is vying for the presidency. Just a few weeks ago, the Obamas endorsed Harris in a video message released by her campaign. In the video, Michelle Obama expressed her pride and enthusiasm, stating, “I cannot have a phone call without telling my girl Kamala: I’m proud of you. This will be historic.”

The convention, running from Monday through Thursday, features a lineup of notable speakers. President Joe Biden will address the delegates on Monday, alongside First Lady Jill Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, and Vice President Kamala Harris will accept the party’s nomination on Thursday night. Governor Tim Walz (D-MN), Harris’s running mate, will also take the stage on Wednesday evening.

In addition to the political presentations, there are expectations of anti-Israel protests occurring in Chicago concurrent with the convention. As the DNC unfolds, the city is bracing for a mix of high-profile speeches and public demonstrations.
