Trump is upholding the law and now judges are fighting against it? What a crazy world we live in.

A liberal Wisconsin judge is making headlines after threatening to shut down her courtroom in protest of law enforcement doing their job.

Judge Monica Isham, presiding in Sawyer County, warned in an email Saturday that she would refuse to hold court unless she received “guidance and protection” following the arrest of her colleague, Judge Hannah Dugan. The email, titled “Guidance Requested or I Refuse to Hold Court,” was obtained by Wisconsin Right Now and has left many questioning the loyalty of some judges to the rule of law.

“I will not put myself, my staff, or my community at risk by cooperating with ICE,” Isham declared. She outrageously compared lawful immigration enforcement to “concentration camps,” showing how deeply radical some members of our judicial system have become.

Isham added, “If this costs me my job or gets me arrested, so be it.” Her inflammatory rhetoric has alarmed conservatives nationwide who value law and order and expect judges to uphold their oath to the Constitution—not play politics in the courtroom.

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon responded sharply, calling Isham’s threat “deeply problematic,” and warning that such statements undermine trust in our legal system.

At the center of the storm is Judge Hannah Dugan, who was arrested on Friday for obstructing an official proceeding and aiding an illegal immigrant’s escape. According to federal authorities, Dugan allegedly protected Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz—who was already facing battery charges—by sneaking him through a restricted jury door after his court hearing. Agents from ICE, the FBI, CBP, and DEA were waiting to apprehend him but were left empty-handed.

Dugan, a former executive at Catholic Charities and longtime activist for left-wing causes, currently oversees misdemeanor cases in Milwaukee County. She was elected to Branch 31 of the Circuit Court in 2016 and faced no challenger in 2022—an unfortunate sign of how little accountability some judges face.

This shocking case shines a harsh light on the growing crisis of liberal activism within America’s courts. Under President Donald Trump’s strong leadership, federal agencies are working hard to enforce immigration laws. But when judges actively obstruct law enforcement, the American people suffer.

Law-abiding citizens deserve better. We need judges who protect the Constitution—not illegal immigrants.
